Jewish Congressional Candidate Brad Lander Not Exactly Warmly Welcomed at Indian Protest

New York City comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander first made headlines last summer when he was arrested for interfering with ICE as they took an illegal alien into custody. Here's a great photo to remind us of that special moment.

Lander lost his bid for mayor, but he won the Democrat Party's nomination for Congress, beating out incumbent Dan Goldman. Lander, like Goldman, is Jewish and is doing his best to reach out to the Muslim community. MEMRI reported in June that Lander recited a verse from the Quran at a Queens Mosque and said he hoped to partner in Congress with the Hamas Caucus, Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. Curiously, Lander was the only one of three congressional candidates endorsed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani who did not receive an endorsement from Mamdani's wife, Rama Duwaji.

Over the weekend, Lander joined a protest against a Hindu nationalist politician speaking at Madison Square Garden. Lander, who is a critic of the Israeli government and identifies as a liberal Zionist, didn't find a warm welcome among the Indian population.

NOW: Some protesters Confront Brad Lander during MSG Indian protest, while others attempt to calm down the situation and welcome him to the event.

RSS forces "Hindutva" (Hindu-ness) an ideology that defines Indian identity primarily through Hindu culture and civilization. It expects religious minorities (like Muslims and Christians) to assimilate into the dominant cultural fabric of India. That was the protest Brad joined.

Brad Ladner is about as far left politically as you can get… but at the end of the day, they hate him because he’s Jewish and there’s nothing he can do https://t.co/wHz3izuqQQ

CNN reports that Lander "dropped his Democratic Socialists of America membership earlier this year after the organization promoted a controversial pro-Palestinian rally the day after the Hamas attacks."

The really funny thing is going to be when the DSA does a Dan Goldman on him in two years and rugpulls his congressional seat because they found a 24 year old female Muslim socialist with ISIS ties to replace him. https://t.co/PtwrIxTqCg

Can be as anti-Israel as possible but at the end of the day you’re a Jew and they hate you. Lesson to be learned here.

I mean, even subservient Jews get the bullet in the end. He had to know this

Poor @BradLander. The people he supports hate him. They hate Jews.

In the end, Brad Lander will be the definition of a man without a country. As a conservative New Yorker, I say good for him. He deserves every bit of grief he gets. The walking definition of treachery.

Good. Maybe it'll show him the true character of the ilk he's been pandering to for the past year.

Lander seems to be trying to reason with these jihadists.
Clueless.

Lander has called the IDF operation in Gaza "genocide" and claimed Goldman was beholden to AIPAC. That was enough for him to give Goldman the boot, but he's still Jewish.
