David Hogg: If Data Centers Have So Many Benefits, Build Them in the Richest ZIP Codes

Here, once again, is David Hogg, standing up (on the backs of his dead classmates) for the little guy. Democrats have decided that they're against data centers, and as part of that platform, they're pushing the idea that they're being built in small, rural towns and polluting the water supply. As we reported back in May, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez held up a cloudy jar of well water apparently sent to her from a non-constituent in Georgia, where People had posted a debunked article about how a data center lowered a town's water pressure by gulping 30 million gallons of water. People got hit with a Community Note: "The 30 million gallons was used over the course of a year in the construction phase due to a county metering error."

Hogg says if the benefits of data centers are so great, why don't they prove it by building them in the richest ZIP codes?

Data centers are good and we should build a lot more of them. Every major argument against data centers I've seen is very bad.

Loudoun County, Virginia, is the richest county in the United States and also has the most data centers.

As a resident of Northern VA and a career IT engineer, I can confirm that the richest area in the world also has the most data centers. Some might argue that Loudon County is the richest county in the United States BECAUSE of the data centers.

I moved to a Washington DC X-Burb that borders on Loudon County 10 years ago. When it was announced that the data centers would be expanding into my county my home value jumped 25%.
