First, for those of you who read my VIP post on Tuesday night, Reuters has an update on the clown who climbed a bridge in Washington, D.C., to protest the war in Iran as well as AI. He lasted five days. Reuters put a little music backdrop behind the video of rescuers bringing him down:
Protester Guido Reichstadter, who scaled a Washington, DC, bridge, climbed down after five days, after saying he ran out of water. Reichstadter said that he climbed the bridge to protest the war in Iran, the Trump administration and artificial intelligence pic.twitter.com/P1cOnDsPEd

And now for something completely different. Tomorrow is election day in the United Kingdom, and although it's not a general election, there are hundreds of council seats and dozens of mayoral contests to be decided. The Labour Party currently controls the national government, which explains why the United Kingdom is in the state it's in. Unfortunately, Prime Minister Kier Starmer's job isn't on the chopping block tomorrow, but he put in a good word for his buddies in the Labour Party.
Tomorrow vote for a party that’s on your side. Vote Labour. pic.twitter.com/ZU9iSdzwks

I don’t think you’re on my side
— Jeremy Clarkson (@JeremyClarkson) May 6, 2026
Jeremy Clarkson got 65,000 likes compared to the original post, which only got 6,000. Let's hope that's reflective of the vote tomorrow.
If he was on my side, I'd have him surgically removed

You work hard, run a successful business, pay tax, love this country, abide by the law and do the right thing so of course he's not on your side.
— Daniel in Golders Green (@DanielGoldersUK) May 6, 2026
Nope! He's against every single one of us...farmers, small businesses, publicans, any hard working tax payers. Traitors the lot of them.

Nor mine, I had a problem with kids being murdered so I was told very early on that I was on a far-right bandwagon
— Rob Fowler (@RobSFowler) May 6, 2026
I'm an American and I don't think he's on your side either.
— Ollie the Lab (@ricsrides) May 6, 2026
He's on the side that blocked an inquiry into Pakistani grooming gangs.

You’ve plunged your country into a sub-Orwellian shithole where grandmas get arrested for posting memes while foreign rapists walk free. You have betrayed the British people and we pray for their relief from your satanic grasp.

You’re not on my side. In fact you appear more on the side of people ineligible to vote.
— Steven Lord 🏴 (@lord_lordy) May 6, 2026
I'm working class English. Labour is not on my side. Not even a little bit.

You havent made my life better in any way. You have made it worse. How are you on my side?
— Andy Harris (@AndyHarrisGB) May 6, 2026
You are on the side of illegals, benefit parasites and criminals.
Sounds familiar.
Tomorrow you get your arse handed to you in a plate. The level of rejection you’re about to see has never been seen before
— KTPetrolHead (@kevsupermoto) May 6, 2026
Let's hope so.
