Man Dies Trying to Escape ICE; 'May Those Responsible, Know the Pain His Family Feels'

Sarah D.

I've been watching for a while now the powderkeg that is bound to explode when either an illegal immigrant is shot and killed by an ICE agent or even if an ICE agent is killed by a member of Antifa. I know of one illegal alien who was shot and killed while in ICE custody. He was accidentally shot by a man who used an ICE tracking app to find an ICE detention facility in Dallas to shoot at and hopefully kill some ICE agents.

Here's a story that I haven't heard anything about in the past 24 hours, aside from the post that came across my timeline on Monday. I don't know if this 24-year-old was an illegal alien, but considering that he ran into a highway to escape ICE agents, I'm guessing he was.

Let's do a little Google search. Both CBS News and The New York Times have headlines about a "Honduran man."

ABC News reports:

The Department of Homeland Security said an undocumented immigrant was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a highway while attempting to flee immigration officials.

A DHS spokesperson said Jose Castro-Rivera and other occupants traveling in a vehicle were stopped by ICE officers on Thursday as part of a "targeted, intelligence-based immigration enforcement operation." DHS did not provide further details about the operation.

While DHS did not say where the incident took place, the Virginia State Police reported it happened on Interstate 264 in Norfolk around 11 a.m. and said Castro-Rivera was struck by a 2002 Ford pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. Its report said he was 24 years old.

DHS said Castro-Rivera "resisted heavily" and fled onto the highway where he was fatally struck. The agency did not offer specifics about Castro-Rivera allegedly resisting arrest.

Call me callous, but I feel bad for the pickup truck driver who accidentally killed someone who ran out in front of him on the highway.

As I reported over the weekend, California State Senator Scott Wiener posted the phone number for San Francisco's Rapid Response Network if someone knew someone who'd been detained by ICE. Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli responded by quote-tweeting Wiener and giving out the number for ICE if you know anyone impeding a federal agent.

I looked up the Rapid Response Network, and even it advises illegals to comply if confronted by ICE — they'll take care of things on the legal end.

I haven't seen the video, but this poster does bring up something that Just Mindy and I have been covering … the illegal aliens with commercial driver's licenses issued by California killing people on the highway. Three people were killed this summer when an Indian illegal immigrant made an illegal U-turn in Florida, and just last week, three more people were killed by an Indian illegal alien who rammed into their cars.

In response, Florida decided to set up ICE checkpoints at truck weigh stations. In response to that, CBS News Sacramento ran a report on the growing roadway risk to Sikh truck drivers.

… think, CBS?

BTW, half of west coast truck drivers are Sikh? When did that happen?

Democrats assured me that illegals came to America to do the jobs Americans just won't do, like picking crops and cleaning toilets.

As I said in an earlier post, someone pointed out that California has Indian truck-driving schools. I can't imagine that would be an enticement for Indians to come here illegally.
