Actor Pedro Pascal Defends Calling J.K. Rowling a 'Heinous Loser'

Here's the thing — even though he's now cast in every TV show and movie, I don't really know who he is. I know that he was in "The Mandalorian," where his liberal opinions were fine, but Gina Carano's posts got her fired. I think he was in "Game of Thrones," which I never watched. I know he was in "The Last of Us." I never saw the show, although I did put a couple of hours into the video game.

I read a lot of comic books in the early '70s. My dad would pick me up from Sunday School and take me to the market to pick out two comic books. One of my favorites was "The Fantastic Four," so it killed me to hear that Disney/Marvel had cast Pascal as Reed Richards, whom he looks nothing like. I was thinking, at least he'll shave off the mustache, right, and they'll put some gray in his temples? Nope. I guess the mustache is permanent.

"Fantastic Four: First Steps" comes out next month, I believe, so it was time for Pascal to double down on saying something unnecessary and stupid, just as Rachel Zegler did for "Snow White." I already was going to pass on the film, but now it's pretty certain.

The Daily Mail reports that Pascal has defended calling J.K. Rowling a "heinous loser" and a "bully" for standing up for women-only spaces, like prisons and rape crisis centers.

The bullies are the men who are trying to force themselves into women's spaces by claiming to be women.

The Daily Mail reports:

Pascal, 50, whose sister Lux recently came out as a transgender woman, initially made the scathing 'heinous loser' remark in April on Instagram.

Pascal went on to add: 'The one thing that I would say I agonized over a little bit was just, "Am I helping? Am I f***ing helping?"

'It's a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected.

'Listen, I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f***ing sick.'

Um, Rowling's the one being bullied, as are the women she's trying to protect.

Speaking of Zegler:

No. Please don't ruin "The Sound of Music."

Get this:

By my count, they've tried and failed to make a good "Fantastic Four" movie at least five times now, including Roger Corman's unreleased version. Now I'm hoping the new one flops.
