James Woods Notes Karmelo Anthony Is Halfway to Becoming a Millionaire

I wrote in a VIP post on April 3 that you shouldn't expect to see much coverage of a teen stabbing another teen in the heart and killing him at a high school track meet in Texas. I just did a search for "Karmelo Anthony" on CNN's website, and got no hits. Well, there were 521 results, but none about him killing a 17-year-old with a knife after being told he was in the wrong tent in the bleachers.

Anthony is getting plenty of attention online, however. The family is claiming he acted in self-defense when Austin Metcalf told him he was in the wrong seat. And now they have a spokesman and are doing press conferences. As I wrote earlier, their spokesman compared Anthony, who is black, to Kyle Rittenhouse, who is white, and who he said "shot three people in the back" with an AK-47.

A fundraiser on GiveSendGo for Anthony and his family currently stands at $466,809. That's a lot of money for a kid who stabbed another teen in the heart and killed him. The purpose of the fundraiser, according to the people who set it up:

While legal defense is a critical part of this journey, we want to make it clear that this fund is not solely dedicated to legal expenses. The funds raised will also support a range of urgent and necessary needs that have emerged as a result of this situation, including — but not limited to — the safe relocation of the Anthony family due to escalating threats to their safety and well-being, as well as basic living costs, transportation, counseling, and other security measures.

We ask for your continued prayers, support, and solidarity. Your contribution not only helps protect and stabilize the family, but also serves as a powerful message of community care and resistance in the face of injustice.

Someone posted this comment, left with a $10 donation:

The safe relocation of the Anthony family? The New York Post and a lot of other outlets are saying that the Anthony family has already moved into a gated community because of threats. However, Anthony's mother said at a presser Thursday that the family has not received a single dime.

So they were already rich?

The New York Post reports:

The Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing a high school football star at a track meet allegedly lives in a $900,000 home with his family inside a luxurious gated community — despite requesting that a judge lower his $1 million bond because of financial difficulties, according to a report.

Karmelo Anthony, 17, is holed up with his family at the pricey home inside the gated community of Richwoods in Frisco, Texas, after he was released from jail Monday on a reduced $250,000 bond for allegedly killing Austin Metcalf earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported.

Residents in the gated community were allegedly unaware the family was living at the home until Anthony was released Monday, and have voiced concerns about having the accused killer in their exclusive neighborhood.

I'm confused. Were the Anthonys rich and able to move into a gated community before taking a dime from the fundraiser?

James Woods congratulated accused killer Anthony of closing in on half a million dollars for stabbing another kid in the heart:

I can only cover so many stories like this without thinking about how I could make hundreds of thousands of dollars on GoFundMe or GiveSendGo. There are a LOT of people out there who are donating to the family of a teen who killed another teen at a track meet with a knife. I suppose if I committed the right sort of crime, like Luigi Mangione, I could rake in quite a few bucks.

I hate to bring race into it, but the family's spokesman already did today at the presser, so … what if the races were reversed and Karmelo Anthony was white and Austin Metcalf was black?

Anthony did reportedly ask a cop if Metcalf was going to be all right. That was sweet.

Me too. Mangione shoots a husband and father of two in the back, and the Left fawns over him, excusing his actions because health insurers should never deny claims. Anthony stabs another kid in the heart for being told to move and rakes in half a million. Not just for his legal fund, but "basic living costs, transportation, counseling, and other security measures."

It is sickening.
