This editor was here for the great Chick-fil-A Wars of 2012 when Sarah Palin led record numbers of customers to the fast food chain after its founder admitted in an interview to having Christian values. He was also here for the Chick-fil-A boycotts of 2018-19 when HuffPost tried to get them started up again. He was there when then-New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2016 called for a boycott of the largest Chick-fil-A to open in the city. And never forget the nutjob who took a bag of Chick-fil-A sandwiches to the Family Research Council in an attempted mass shooting.
But is it time for conservatives to boycott Chick-fil-A? Word is that the chain just hired a vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We have a problem.
Chick-Fil-A just hired a VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
This is bad. Very bad.
I don’t want to have to boycott.
Are we going to have to boycott?

NBC News Supreme Court reporter Lawrence Hurley weighed in with an attempt at a joke.
oh no what are they going to serve at Federalist Society events now? https://t.co/47Elhw0hqz

Whenever I see your tweets I expect to see something like Demand Justice or Think Progress in the bio.
Fascinating for a straight news guy from Reuters/NBC to be this derisive about FedSoc.

Careful. Don't give yourself away.

Liberal media will continue to get served at Federalist Society events.

You are not a newsperson.

When Phil Bump says liberal media reporters were the "objective" people on Twitter? No, they're snarky libs. https://t.co/u4S9iHBSQJ

It was just a joke!
Or maybe it was just a mild joke about how FedSoc groups sometimes order in Chick-fil-A?

What part of "Whenever I see your tweets" suggests he was referring to this tweet in isolation?

Your bias is showing.

Where are your ABA/Everytown/ACS/ACLU/Demand Justice/BLM jokes, funny man?
— Manipulated Medium (@reddened65) May 30, 2023
Clown nose on! Just a joke that doesn’t reveal any sort of bias. 🤡
— Andy Lancaster (@andylancaster) May 30, 2023
It depends. Have you EVER taken a dig through a "joke" about the ACLU on Twitter, on a day when they were tied to something/someone controversial? If so, yes, you are unbiased. If not, then you are. Pretty simple.

It’s a problem that people at NBC might not realize that DEI isn’t like an issue where half the country wants large untested bureaucracies in their organization, there are plenty of critics on all sides.
— Zaid Jilani (@ZaidJilani) May 30, 2023
DEI is poison and NBC News is propaganda.
