We can see how a liberal movie critic would be disappointed that a movie from Disney would be lacking in kink. We did a quick scan of pull quotes from other reviewers on Metacritic but didn’t see anyone else bemoaning the lack of kink.
Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid," with Halle Bailey starring as Ariel and a diverse cast, "reeks of obligation and noble intentions," Wesley Morris writes.
"Joy, fun, mystery, risk, flavor, kink — they’re missing." https://t.co/GRE3yyIIfz

It has a diverse cast and noble intentions, though.

I'm inclined to agree with the quoted opening, and note that none of those things can exist when progressive dogma – woke – is the goal.
But did that person write KINK?!?

What is it with leftist writers insisting the kids stuff have kink in it?

Saying the quiet part out loud, eh?

Uh oh, no kink in the live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid,” scratch that off my list of movies to see with small children
— Typos of the New York Times (@nyttypos) May 27, 2023
I learned way too much about this writer than I wanted to know.

Is he into tentacle porn, like Kurt Eichenwald?

Someone at Disney’s getting fired for forgetting the kink.
