Heckler & Koch introduces its new social media manager after woke backlash

As Twitchy reported Tuesday, an insider says Target held an emergency meeting to avoid “a Bud Light situation,” but the CEO has doubled down and it’s already too late. Proving that you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t, Gov. Gavin Newsom shamed Target’s CEO for “selling out the LGBTQ+ community” by reportedly moving some Pride displays to less visible areas of the store. Target got involved in identity politics and doesn’t have a way out.

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, gun manufacturer Heckler & Koch got into a bit of a hole when the person running its social media was offended that people weren’t standing up for Miller Lite. Here’s what she tweeted:

Wow- woke? Allow me to translate: objectifying women was never a good marketing strategy. In the firearms industry, that was a prominent strategy up until recently. Many industries have done that (including beer corps).

As an actual woman typing this, I’ll use more words for you to comprehend: using bunnies to sell products is trash marketing. Supporting women by not doing that is good.

Yeah, that generated some backlash, and Heckler & Koch tried to lessen the damage with this tweet:
