Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has put the issue to bed a couple of times now by showing the press what’s actually being “banned” from school libraries — images the press can’t reprint or broadcast because they’re sexually explicit. Progressives have banned plenty of books themselves and even employ “sensitivity readers” to replace harmful words in classics and children’s books. President Joe Biden, who said a couple of weeks ago, “I never thought I’d be a president who is fighting against elected officials trying to ban, and banning books!” also removed all mentions of Dr. Seuss from “Read Across America Day” in 2021.
Dr. Jill Biden, too, has gotten in on the action:

Axios recently reported that most books targeted for censorship in deep-blue California have LGBTQ themes; straight writers seem to have no problem keeping explicit sex out of their children’s books.
Now Vice President Kamala Harris is weighing in with, like, her opinion.
