Remember last month when Donald Trump said that he was going to be arrested on Tuesday? He was arrested on a Tuesday, but a couple of weeks later. That didn’t stop Trump supporters from gathering in Manhattan. It’s funny … at first, people predicted another January 6, with local, state, and federal law enforcement and the National Guard on hand to keep them in check. Then, when the media outnumbered the protesters by about 5 to 1, the same people had a good laugh that Trump couldn’t draw a larger crowd. Here’s NBC News’ Ben Collins:
I’ve been to a zillion of these and every time it’s the same thing. Surround the one counter-protestor and make gristle for the right wing content mines. So dumb. Anyway, it’s completely dead here. pic.twitter.com/QJNTjnGxks

Collins was back in Manhattan Tuesday for Trump’s arraignment and once again noticed the small size of the pro-Trump protest compared to the anti-Trump crowd:
Just a ton more anti-Trump protestors outside the park. Despite an all-caps call for his supporters to protest before his arrest, Trump supporters are getting deeply outnumbered by people in support of his arrest in lower Manhattan today. pic.twitter.com/z8BQ5ynaBV

Love when “journalists” hyperventilate about Trump supporters gathering in large numbers being a dangerous threat to democracy and when they don’t show up en masse the same media mocks Trump for it. The national media is irredeemable. https://t.co/GT8ka4Hyag

More anti-Trump supporters in a liberal city? Not shocking
— Matt Vespa (@mVespa1) April 4, 2023
It's NY so, is anyone really shocked by that?

All the more proof he can’t get a fair trial in Manhattan.

They don’t work so they are available at a moment’s notice to protest. They are very dependent on the gravy train.

It’s literally Manhattan

They don't even know what the charges are. 🙃

Currently 1:38 on a TUESDAY… These people took a sick day, vacation day, or they just don’t have to work..?

What a huge scoop. Liberals outnumber conservatives in the belly of the beast of NYC is so shocking/not shocking.

In New York City? Who would've thought. I'm so glad you're here with such insightful coverage, Ben.

You all took the bait😄
— Murph 👌 (@murphtoday) April 4, 2023
Wow, I guess they have to convict him now because of the bigger protest crowd rules.

It's ever so shocking that in a district that votes 75% Democrat and will politically persecute you if you fly a red flag, there are fewer people with red flags.
