We first heard about “This Book Is Gay” last fall when a mother read explicit passages from the book to the school board:

Seriously, it’s targeted at middle schoolers and tells them how to use hook-up apps to find gay adults nearby … which we’re sure California Sen. Scott Wiener applauds.
- Upload a tiny pic of yourself to the app.
- The app works out your location.
- The app tells you who the nearest homosexuals are.
- You then chat to them.
- Because they are near, it is easy to meet up with them.
The book also gives instructions on anal sex, which as we’ve noted, you can easily get by reading Teen Vogue’s illustrated how-to guide.
It looks like a middle school in Florida has “banned” the book as well:

This book should not be in any Florida school at all. In fact, no sexual "how to" books of any kind need to be included in our school. This is not why we send kids to school.
