As Twitchy reported, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is in Ukraine today in order to hand President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a giant novelty check for $1.2 billion.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken appeared on CBS News just a few days ago and noted that the American taxpayer has been “incredibly generous” with Ukraine. Quite a few people noted that maybe “generous” wasn’t the correct word, seeing as they had no say in whether the money was given in aid or not.

On Monday, Blinken pledged an additional $444 million in aid to Yemen, bringing America’s total to more than $5.4 billion. And once again, he noted the generosity of the American people:

“As one of the largest donors, this brings our total to the humanitarian response in Yemen to over $5.4 billion since the conflict began. The United States’ commitment to alleviating the suffering of millions from the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in Yemen remains resolute,” Blinken said in a statement.

The secretary said the new millions in aid are “exemplifying the continued generosity of the people of the United States for the people of Yemen.”

It feels good to be so generous, doesn’t it?

You get to bask in the warm glow of your continued generosity.
