White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre went ballistic the other day when Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked what the White House was hiding by not keeping visitor logs at President Joe Biden’s Delaware home, saying former President Donald Trump didn’t release the White House visitor logs when he was president.
Fox News said that on Sunday, the Secret Service stated Sunday that while a detail is assigned to the home, they do not record visitors because it’s a private residence. CNN “confirmed” that Monday:
The White House counsel's office says there are no visitors logs for President Biden's Wilmington home. "His personal residence is personal," they said.
The US Secret Service also does not maintain visitor logs at that house. https://t.co/UniBJeYhVH

CNN reports:
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the US Secret Service, said the agency also does not independently maintain visitor logs for Biden’s home in Wilmington. The agency provides security for the property, and screens visitors before they arrive to Biden’s home, but does not maintain records of those visitors. Biden and his staff determine who is permitted onto the property.
Guglielmi said the Secret Service does not independently maintain visitor logs at the Wilmington home because it is a “private residence.”
Not everyone’s buying it:
Do you believe that if there were an investigation of a threat against POTUS, in which it was relevant to know who visited POTUS in DE on which days over last 23 mos, that Secret Service would not be able to tell the FBI that? I don’t.

“If Secret Service is doing its job, there has to be visitor records,” Tom Fitton, president of conservative transparency group @JudicialWatch, told @NYPost in Oct. “If there aren’t any records, the scandal is much bigger than just a lack of transparency.” https://t.co/2zvcRPmXjZ

They’re lying, the Secret Service obviously has visitor logs

The Secret Service does background checks on everyone who meets with the president, but the White House wants you to believe there's no visitor log at Biden's Wilmington home.
Reminder, Biden has spent 1/4 of his entire presidency in Delaware.

Impossible that there are zero records of people who have come to the sitting President of the U.S. personal home. This is a blatant lie to say there is no record. I don’t believe this and neither should anyone else.

They absolutely do. No question.

They meant to say 'publicly accessible' visitor logs.

And if they didn't, what good are they?

President Biden’s old boss, Barack Obama, had a policy of keeping White House visitor logs. That wasn’t a private residence, though — although with the amount of time Biden’s spent in Delaware, maybe that should be considered the White House.
