NYT bestselling author Saira Rao observes that white people wake up every day and choose violence

Just as in 2016, white women were scolded after the midterm election for not voting in their best interests and instead for white men who want to take away their rights. It was mostly men saying this, like Wahajat Ali, who noted that women of color can do only so much.

We’re not sure how Saira Rao came to fame — we know she likes to post racist tweets on Twitter. Somehow she was noted by publishers and now has an “instant New York Times bestseller,” co-written with Regina Jackson, titled, “White Women: Everything You Already Know About Your Own Racism and How to Do Better.” It’s also Amazon’s No. 1 new release in “Discrimination & Racism,” a category which could be taken two ways.

We’re pretty sure we know who’s buying it, and if we see Rao on a publicity tour telling her white female hosts what’s wrong with them, we’ll let you know. Today, though, she’s just back to her normal, everyday self:

She didn’t use to limit replies. Guess she’s too busy with the book to argue on Twitter. At this point, we even wonder if she’s worth covering; there’s absolutely nothing new in her tweets.

If she were just trolling, she might have been banned. But since she’s serious, it’s OK.

Sorry … it’s just boring at this point and a joke that Penguin Books picked this up. Remember, Penguin is where several employees literally broke into tears learning that Penguin was publishing Jordan Peterson’s next book. We haven’t heard of a similar outbreak, but we’ll keep an eye out.
