You’d think that Twitter employees would watch what they tweet after Elon Musk fired an employee who was essentially trash-talking him on Twitter. Musk isn’t kidding around: He wants you in the office and expects you to bring your own lunch if you don’t want to buy lunch at the cafeteria.
This former engineer at Twitter had a message for Tweeps that hadn’t been cut: #Resist.
Tweeps that are still employed, at this time:
If your personal situation allows for it, it is your moral duty to disobey. To strike. To protest. To quote tweet Elon when he lies on Twitter. To keep looking after each other.

One hour later …
Fired a little less than 8 years in the tweet mines.
I loved working here. pic.twitter.com/mCjIzkVfDv

Another one bites the dust! Software engineer at Twitter. This will never get old 😂 pic.twitter.com/Tuh6jFHXoG

“I loved working here” said the guy that maybe put in 10 hours a week from home for a nice six-figure salary

The hubris is just stunning.

There are consequences to publicly insulting & making fun of your boss on his platform, what do these special people think would happen?
— Chris (@NightGuardian34) November 15, 2022
There are plenty of great software engineers out here that would be ecstatic for a chance to work with @Elon in any capacity available, myself being one of them. That is a life changing opportunity.

We just saw a clip of Elon Musk saying that an average of 10 percent of employees would come into the office, with a peak of 25 percent. And there was no need to serve dinner in the cafeteria because everyone that was there had gone home.
Sounds like they had more down time than work time.

These people are phenomenal. They think they can disagree and disobey the "New" twitter owner while they are employees paid a salary to do a job, and which happen to be the job the owner tells them to do.

The mistake these Twitter employees make is viewing themselves as the rebel alliance while the everyone else sees them as Palpatine's pampered administrators.

Was it worth it, James?

One by one! 😂😂😂
It's so entertaining watching liberals getting fired from Twitter! I can't wait to see how Twitter will be like in 6 months!
Man, this is exciting! 😂😂😂
— Brady Buchanan (@Commander_Brady) November 15, 2022
@elonmusk was QUICK with this one 😂

Damn, they really just outing themselves 💀
— Joey Greene (@joey_greene12) November 15, 2022
It's almost as if they are asking for it at this point.
— Keen as Ken (@c3pzero) November 15, 2022
I think they believe this behavior will be seen as a badge of honor at other tech companies
— Mitch Meyers (@MitchMeyersNC) November 15, 2022
It's just amazing how entitled these people think they are. After having been babied for years, reality hits them square between the eyes.
— Alleras Martell (@FesterBesterte3) November 15, 2022
These employees obviously went from screaming at conservative speakers at their universities, graduating, and being directly hired at Twitter shortly thereafter.
— Jeff (@JeffreyTAlien) November 15, 2022
He loved it so much he tried to compel his fellow coworkers to do everything in their power to bring the company down. Nice work.
— Robert Palmer (@Pizzyferizzy) November 15, 2022
Imagine advocating to coworkers they should undermine the company and expect to keep your job…

For the non-managers out there:
Elon is very swiftly ensuring the people who actually want to be at Twitter, are employed (he opened up returns).
These activist employees who have enjoyed their stay, are self purging.
Thanks @elonmusk

Declaring that it is your moral duty to disobey, protest, and strike? Because the company is trying to make money? Because they shut off the red wine on tap? What “moral duty” did you have at Twitter before Musk took over?

Update:
We’re pretty sure this is satire:
after ten years of relentless work adding an additional 140 characters to tweets, i was fired last night from twitter after calling my literal boss a "cock smoking lunatic nazi." shocked and saddened it has come to this
— Mike Solana (@micsolana) November 15, 2022
The injustice of it all 😭😭
