Gov. Kathy Hochul says it's 'absurd' to say she's taken a mocking tone about people's fear of crime

A couple of months ago, New York City Mayor Eric Adams managed to offend Kansans when he said that “Kansas doesn’t have a brand.” New York City, he maintained, had a brand: When people thought of the city, it meant something to them. That’s why you’ve seen so many people retweet stories of beatings and murders in New York’s subway with the quote, “New York has a brand.”

Violent crime in the subway and throughout the city is now New York’s brand, and as Twitchy reported, Hochul called it a GOP “conspiracy” intended to scare people ahead of the midterms. One MSNBC host pushed back on Hochul, saying “I’m not going in the subway.” People are afraid, she said.

We don’t know who the reporter is, but kudos to her for asking Hochul if she hasn’t been taking a “mocking” tone about people’s very real fears about crime in New York.

Apparently not:

Oh hey, look she dragged out not only Jerry Nadler but the curse of any campaign, Randi Weingarten:

Weingarten helped sink Terry McAuliffe — let’s see if she can do the same for Hochul.
