We’re guessing none of the 40-some people in President Joe Biden’s digital press shop have taught White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain how to insert emoji into a tweet, because then he could have put the handclap between every pair of words in his tweet:
The. Price. of. Gas. is. Going. Down.https://t.co/A3gLQJvPtk
— Ronald Klain (@WHCOS) October 25, 2022
So what happened to Putin’s price hike? We were assured that the price of gas was going to rise for a while as we put sanctions on Russian oil exports. We’ve also noticed a new line of attack as the midterms approach and people don’t see them as a referendum on the nation’s continued survival: As Matthew Dowd discussed, he’s not saying the GOP are Nazis — he’s just saying that it’s a lot like the rise of Adolf Hitler, who promised he’d do something about the economy and inflation. But what kind of person worries about the price at the pump when democracy itself is on the line? This is a vote on fascism, not gas prices.

So is the volume in the strategic oil reserve when we might actually need it. It’s not a pawn for the midterms.

We still remember the golden days of the Biden administration when they were bragging about the $0.16 you were saving on your Fourth of July barbecue.
This must be Klain’s time of day to come on and retweet all of Jennifer Rubin’s hot takes.
