Remember the Waukesha “parade crash” last November that was “caused by an SUV?” The jury has been selected, and the person driving that SUV, Darrell Brooks, has chosen to represent himself in court. And from the looks of things, he’s doing a bang-up job. The Post Millennial points out that Brooks asked the judge to dismiss his case because none of the injured (or dead) were present in court to make accusations against him. If they couldn’t be bothered to show up …

This guy is a genius. Why has nobody thought of this before?

I can only assume that he's dismissed any counsel that would have been assigned to him or who took his case pro-bono.

There is counsel that is on standby for him, however they are not to intervene unless he requests it.
Courts are very cognizant to cover their bases when you have someone who wants to represent themselves to avoid any overturned verdicts upon appeal.

It took a month for the Biden administration to send second gentleman Doug Emhoff and first lady Dr. Jill Biden to Waukesha. And when Biden visited the hospital, all of her remarks were about getting the COVID vaccine.

The victims might not physically be there in court, but the righteous hand of the Lord will soon greet him.

It took Jill Biden’s visit to Waukesha for the Washington Post to even write again about the “parade crash.” Who knows if the media will cover the guilty verdict?
