Boston Globe writer says that the 'latest racial incident' at volleyball game doesn't help Utah's reputation

Earlier this week, Duke volleyball player Rachel Richardson was tormented by a student yelling racial slurs at a match hosted by Brigham Young University. As Twitchy reported, Richardson’s father appeared on CNN, and think pieces appeared on “Good Morning America,” MSNBC, USA Today, and others. The story was debunked by Wednesday — it was a hoax. That hasn’t stopped the Boston Globe from writing a piece condemning this “latest racial incident” and saying it doesn’t help BYU’s reputation — why does this thing that didn’t happen keep happening?

How does a supposed journalist not know by now that the supposed racial incident didn’t happen, unless they just decided to stop following the story because they had a hot take ready to go.
