The Senate Judiciary Committee held its hearing Tuesday on “abortion access,” and we got a lot of terrible takes from that hearing, such as that abortion “is an act of love.” On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee held its abortion hearing, and among the witnesses was Sarah Lopez of Jane’s Due Process, who was billed as an “abortion storyteller.” We guess she really likes telling stories about her abortion, because it was the best decision she ever made. It was an act of self-love.

People like this are why I moved from pro choice to pro life. The outright soulless glee they take at it really drove me to reconsider everything and look deeper.
