As we’ve learned over the past couple of days, “deadnaming” is taken very seriously by Twitter, which said it made a mistake by letting actor Elliot Page’s deadname trend. As we reported, Jordan Peterson was suspended after tweeting that “Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.” It didn’t stop there: Dave Rubin was suspended for tweeting a screenshot of Peterson’s tweet.
Peterson has said he’s not going to give in and delete his tweet, but Rubin broke down once he’d realized the error of his ways.
After much deliberation I have decided to delete the tweet of a screenshot which got me suspended from Twitter.

For the record, I strongly considered not coming back, and perhaps that is the right move. They will slowly purge anyone who tells the truth, that much is clear. But for now I chose to stay and fight on their territory while we build better products at @onlocals and @rumblevideo.
