We’ll give Kathy Griffin credit here for properly using the term “semi-automatic weapons” and not “assault weapons.” That’s good. Griffin thinks we just need to get rid of the semi-automatic weapons, so we’re assuming she’s fine with guns that aren’t semi-automatic? As vice president, Joe Biden famously recommended that all Americans buy a shotgun — you don’t need to aim as precisely as you would with an AR-15, which is especially important if there’s an earthquake and the ground is shaking beneath your feet (no, really).
Griffin wants us all to think of how low that bar is … just getting rid of semi-automatic weapons.
It’s the semi automatic weapons. They have to go.
My god, think of how low that bar is.— Kathy Griffin (@kathygriffin) May 28, 2022

The comments in the thread prove how important the NRA is.
People don’t understand how firearms work and need to learn gun safety https://t.co/P8NU3Bja5w— Frank Pellegrino (@FrankP614) May 28, 2022
Soulless ginger wants you unable to defend yourself.
The majority of firearms on the market, sold to peaceable Americans are, wait for it… semi automatic. So, that means you want Americans to be unable to adequately defend themselves. Why? https://t.co/k7yzmHY5Cy

It's a low bar to ban, what, 99% of the weapons in America? https://t.co/dhEMVNm5a1

Kath is unaware that semiautomatic handguns have lighter trigger weights, making it the great equalizer for someone like me. https://t.co/vHf3tU1v2x

You gonna come take them? They're only semi-automatic, after all. https://t.co/i7jM7CG0O8

Who's gonna take em? The police that can't deal with a single one despite millions in specific training? Or the military that can't hold a stone age country despite trillions in equipment? Or you, old hag? https://t.co/wQKKnDjF3v

Of all the things that can be done to help, why do idiots always go for the highest fruit in the tree that literally has a Constitutional amendment dedicated to protecting it? https://t.co/Wsiz5sedIE
