As Twitchy has reported, CNN’s subscription streaming service, CNN+, is being shut down by Warner Bros. Discovery about a month after it launched. We’ve already done a couple of posts cautioning us about gloating — Politico’s Sam Stein says it’s “gross,” and fabulist video editor Aaron Rupar’s heart goes out to all of those trapped in a crappy situation.
We wanted to do one more, though, because this one comes from a CNN+ producer whose future is probably uncertain. She wants you to think before you tweet something snarky about CNN+ about the hundreds of journalists and technicians who’ve had the rug pulled out from under them. It’s only fair since she tweeted the same thing about all of the Keystone XL workers having the rug pulled out from under them by President Joe Biden. No, wait … she didn’t.
PSA if you’re going to tweet something snarky about CNN+, hundreds of journalists and technicians who did nothing but work their tails off just had the rug pulled out from under them. So be kind.

CNN held someone hostage for making a GIF

And they ambushed an elderly woman in her driveway because she’d liked a post on Facebook.
You ask for kindness when you give none. You ask for respect when you give none. You ask for honesty when you give none. If this were happening to a Conservative streaming service, I have no doubt you would be rejoicing. Spare me.

Now do all the people who were working on the XL pipeline right before Biden became president. And every single person suffering from higher gas prices and inflation.

Thank goodness these people voted in someone who fights to keep gas prices low, food affordable, our border secure and a booming economy who will easily absorb these newly unemployed Americans.

So did all those who lost their jobs because of vax mandates. I didnt hear your compassion for those folks…..in fact it was the opposite.

I’ve watched people on CNN actively work to cultivate hatred, prejudice, and resentment against entire demographics based on physical traits.
What exactly do you think justifies expressing kindness towards racist demagogues who’ve been pitting demographics against one another?

Tough to feel sympathy for grown adults trying to ruin the lives of some 17 year olds because they were wearing a hat that the “adults” didn’t like

You can not be serious.

Your profession advocated for laws that forced people like me out of jobs for years during covid, and when we tried to speak against them you called us Nazis, racists, murderers. You had power and you used it to hurt people; what you get back is but a shadow of that.

Sorry, Ellie. I never saw a single journalist at @CNN .
That station was a DNC political megaphone disseminating party lies. Journalists do something different.— RabbitHoleRedux (@everSoTweetly4u) April 21, 2022
Do you still get banned for suggesting they could learn to code

They should start their own CNN+

When has CNN ever been kind, except to Biden when he does a town hall?
Journos, yesterday: Fuck your privacy, we will do whatever we want.
Journos, today: Why don’t people sympathize with us?
