SAD! CNN's subscription service CNN+ off to a great start, employees bracing for layoffs as soon as May

We can’t tell you how this tweet made our day. As Twitchy has reported, CNN has been building up to the launch of its paid subscription service CNN+, which would feature shows from luminaries such as Rex Chapman and Jemele Hill. Also on offer: a talk show hosted by Don Lemon and Jake Tapper’s book club.

We didn’t know the service had launched, but apparently, layoffs are already in the works:

Matt Dornic, CNN’s head of strategic communications, says CNN couldn’t be more thrilled with the launch:

For what’s it’s worth, they’re only asking $2.99 a month after that 50 percent discount.
