Report: Member of the January 6 committee 'felt devastated for our democracy' after Jeff Zucker's resignation

We don’t have any names, but we don’t hesitate for a second to believe that the clowns on the January 6 committee who consider everything a danger to our democracy would react that way to Jeff Zucker’s resignation from CNN. As Twitchy reported earlier, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar held a meeting with CNN’s Washington, D.C. staff and it did not go well. One employee reportedly said they felt “less safe” with Zucker gone.

Vanity Fair is also reporting on the meeting and says that one CNN reporter said that “she was fielding calls from congresspeople, including a member of the January 6 committee, ‘who felt devastated for our democracy’ as a result of Zucker’s departure.”

Joe Pompeo writes:

… Toward the end of the meeting, in which prominent CNN journalists went hard at Kilar over Zucker’s resignation, special correspondent Jamie Gangel spoke up. “The first calls I got this morning were from four members of the January 6 committee, who felt devastated for our democracy, because Jeff was not going to be around to make sure that CNN is able to do its job,” she said (later clarifying to colleagues that she meant to say four congresspeople, including one member of the committee).

And what exactly is CNN’s job?
