If you see this right after we publish it, you’ll have a good half-hour to switch on ESPN to hear driver Bubba Wallace reflect on the noose that was found in his stall at Talladega Superspeedway in 2020. Some say it was just a pull rope for the garage door, but ESPN makes it clear that it was indeed a noose:
Last year, a noose was found in Bubba Wallace's stall at Talladega Superspeedway. The next day, the NASCAR community stood with him in unity.

Bubba Wallace reflects on that and more tonight at 7:30 ET on ESPN. (via @E60)

Either ESPN doesn’t read its own reporting or doesn’t believe the FBI.
they forgot about this 🤣 pic.twitter.com/V9FNFDy77o

Also from ESPN:
FBI says rope had been in Talladega garage since October; Bubba Wallace not victim of hate crimehttps://t.co/Z0mIQIVxFm

Why are you pushing this fake narrative still?
— Tommy C (@TommyCee24) December 14, 2021
I agree. This was debunked fairly quickly.
— BobbyDo2U (@bobbydo85) December 14, 2021
It's been proven that it wasn't a noose, ESPN!
— SmallTown MetalFreak (@JosiahSRobinson) December 14, 2021
This was already disproven….

Video showed the pull tie had been there for months before the stall was assigned to Wallace.
IT WAS NOT A NOOSE! It was a simple garage pull that had been there for years! THIS WAS DEBUNKED!

Wow, What an inspiring story that never happened because it was a garage pull handle and not a noose.

You know it wasn’t a noose? @Zigmanfreud

I’d rather see a documentary focused on NASCAR’s diversity efforts vs strawmanning an incident that was completely blown out of proportion.
— Isaac Snyder (@Velocity_9x) December 14, 2021
The story should be about how easy it is for people to fall for misinformation and jump all over a narrative that is not true because it confirms their preexisting notions and biases. That is what happened here.

I was only 13 years old when I lived across the street from that garage, what I saw scared me for life.
— Necreezy (@DFSmonsterDevin) December 14, 2021
We really doing this again?
— Ryan Estabrooke (@EstaRyan12) December 14, 2021
I thought ESPN was above this. I was wrong!
— Mark Eisel (@MarkEisel) December 14, 2021
It’s the next year and it’s still not a noose
— pain (@MVPWigginsSZN) December 14, 2021
Why is a sports news station lying about what actually happened? A GARAGE PULL was found in Wallace's stall, one that had been there for a long time, and @BubbaWallace aka Bubba Smollett ASSUMED it was a noose meant for him. FBI investigated & found his claims to be false.

As a #NASCAR fan (and not just someone here to dunk on him), it's pathetic how he's squandered his platform by channeling the Don Lemons of the world. He's well on the way to race hustler status.
He decried racism and all that, but hasn't tweeted about the Ahmaud Arbery verdict.

The gaslighting is unbearable.

It doesn't matter that it's not true. We just want it to feel true.
— Eric Demam🅿️ (@ericdemamp) December 14, 2021
They found 11 other nooses in other drivers garages that day. But we’ll never hear the story from those brave drivers 🤣

Watch to end of this preview
To quote Bubba, “…this moment was still important…you can let down your guard a bit but I don’t forget the ones who were silent”
The corporate press is the enemy of the people

Didn’t they assign, like, 15 FBI agents to this case?
