CNN covered Melania Trump 'disappearing' — what about Gov. Gavin Newsom?

Remember back in the summer of 2018 when CNN’s Brian Stelter went full Melania-truther? The first lady hadn’t been seen in public for weeks, and Stelter was on top of it. “Go ahead and imagine how you’d feel if a different First Lady wasn’t seen in public for 3+ weeks,” was Stelter’s retort to those noting she had been seen.

As Twitchy reported, it’s November 8, and nobody’s seen California Gov. Gavin Newsom since October 27, when he had his COVID booster shot. How many days do you have to be missing before it becomes a story on CNN?

For what it’s worth, something called The Defender is reporting that Newsom was injured:

GBS is Guillane-Barre syndrome. It might or might not be true, but Dave Rubin has a good point. How many days do you have to be out of public site before Stelter starts asking questions? What if you’re Ron DeSantis?

You’d have to ask Stelter since that’s his job to know.

So where is Newsom?

Update:

As we were writing this post, we got the news that Newsom couldn’t make it to the U.N. climate conference because he “has young kids.”
