Rep. Adam Schiff suggests he wouldn't have pursued Robert Mueller's testimony if he'd known about his mental decline

The Washington Examiner has gotten ahold of Rep. Adam Schiff’s upcoming book, “Midnight in Washington,” and it seems Schiff is still angry with former FBI director Robert Mueller for not delivering the goods in his 2019 appearance before Congress. Schiff, who still has concrete evidence of Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia that he won’t show us, writes that he wouldn’t have pursued Mueller’s testimony with such vigor if he’d know how much Mueller had changed.

Becket Adams writes:

Mueller failed to deliver the goods not because there were no goods to deliver, Schiff writes in a new book, but because the 76-year-old former director’s brain has turned to mush. The congressman claims he personally pressured Mueller to testify. Schiff, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, also claims it was “heartbreaking” to watch the subsequent performance.

“Had I known how much he had changed,” he alleges in his forthcoming book Midnight in Washington, “I would not have pursued his testimony with such vigor — in fact, I would not have pursued it at all.”

He continues, claiming he quietly instructed his colleagues to keep their questions simple, alleging again this was done to accommodate Mueller’s supposedly deteriorating mind.

“No questions calling for a narrative answer,” Schiff writes. “No multipart questions. If you think your question may be too long, it is. Cut it down.”

Has Schiff yet considered that perhaps there was just nothing there?

That brings back great memories of all of the “Mueller Time!” tweets, and the picture of Mueller with a Santa hat Photoshopped onto his head in hopes that he’d produce his report before Christmas.

Is Schiff’s book going to be a relitigation of the whole Russian collusion hoax? What else could he have to say?
