Free beer! Gov. Phil Murphy launches the state's 'Shot and a Beer' program to encourage vaccinations

At first, we weren’t sure if this was real, but it comes directly from New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s Twitter feed. The state is rolling out its “Shot and a Beer” program, offering a free beer to those 21 and older who get the coronavirus vaccine in May.

Oh, it’s only at participating breweries. Still, it’s a good deal.

Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin doesn’t want New Jersey to corner the market on the idea.
