CNN is giving us a heads up that President Biden will announce updated CDC guidance for wearing masks on Tuesday, “though the final language is still unclear.” As we know, Biden, who’s been vaccinated, was the only world leader to wear a mask to a climate change summit being held online via videoconference, so we’re never sure where he and the CDC stand on masks. Will he wear one Wednesday night to address a joint session of Congress?
1) The White House’s Jen Psaki was asked today at the briefing as to whether President Biden would wear a mask when speaking to the Joint Session of Congress Wednesday. Psaki initially said she wasn’t sure.

Anyway, here’s what CNN knows:
President Biden is expected to announce tomorrow that the CDC has updated its guidance for wearing masks. Multiple people say that new guidance will pertain to whether vaccinated people should wear masks outdoors, though the final language is still unclear.

One year from now, Joe Biden will announce that vaccinated people don't need to wear masks indoors. He is one year late on everything. https://t.co/gM6Wn2G8QZ

In the meantime, NRO editor Philip Klein has taken a look at the newest CDC guidance as it pertains to summer camps, and it looks like children over age 2 are recommended to wear a mask whenever they’re not drinking, eating, or swimming.
CDC summer camp guidance calls for masks outdoors for kids over 2 years old & also vaccinated adults. Only exceptions are eating, drinking, and swimming. Gonna be especially brutal with the humidity. Why are we torturing children for no good reason? https://t.co/qT3XMqATNg

Why is the CDC promoting behavior that is so inconsistent with the actual science? https://t.co/WFGnkB8WAC

This is the same CDC that said last March that masks don’t help at all, right? Strike two. One more and they’re out.
— wjl (@wjlafrance) April 26, 2021
Wasn’t yesterday’s “long standing” position that masks weren’t needed outdoors?
— Sanjay (@SanjayKurian) April 26, 2021
CDC could write the book on how to get people to ignore you.

Science is code for “the plan”. Always has been since the start of this whole ordeal.
— Livestock Complacency (@lvstckcmplcncy) April 26, 2021
Biden is running the CDC. Covid is the only topic where he’s polling well. He and Kamala will extend covid fear as long as possible. All politics.
— Gonzo (@eldestson2112) April 26, 2021
Don't worry, they'll revise their guidance in October

This is ridiculous.
— Polly Karr (@karr_pe) April 26, 2021
Sounds like a good way to drive ppl into staying indoors in comfortable A/C, with airborne virus in nice cool air

Just put a cracker in every kid’s pocket so they’re always eating.

Unreal, I thought we were past this

This angers me so much.

Lunacy. Idiocy. Any sensible camp will ignore this random, arbitrary, baseless "guidance." Some people are so desperate to cling to their perceived "authority" that the media tries to give them. Torturing little kids. Normal people are going to ignore ALL of this once vaccinated.
— Rob Pugliese (@RobPugs717) April 26, 2021
The CDC is an extremely questionable organization for advice on Covid at this point.
— Luke Spitzley (@SpitzleyLuke) April 26, 2021
After the elderly, they have been torturing the kids more than since this thing started. They have the taste. Why stop?
— Jonathan Koevary (@jkoevary) April 26, 2021
Masks, outside, in the sunshine and humidity? Sounds like the CDC’s following science fiction.
— FudgeTosser (@FudgeTosser) April 26, 2021
Why is the CDC still an authority?
— OldGuy1963 (@fart1963) April 26, 2021
There is quite literally, zero science, zero studies, zero data behind this truly idiotic guidance
— AnotherBrian (@newordermarket) April 26, 2021
The CDC has no credibility anymore.

Apparently the Covid reactionaries' man-god was just saying the outdoor risk is miniscule: https://t.co/uDsGGldyLP

There are states completely open and this is the guidance. FOH

Good luck trying to keep masks on a bunch of 2-3 year old kids. Not a good year to see if you like being a camp counselor.

The CDC can take a long hike off a short pier
My high school grandkids have been great to school, playing sports, going on overnight field trips since last August

We can’t wait to hear from the president who wears a mask on Zoom calls.
