The mainstream media is just covering itself in glory reporting the police-involved shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant in Columbus Tuesday. The Daily Beast, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, among others, offered up hot takes. CNN is being extra-careful in its reporting though, with anchor Wolf Blitzer reporting that the police bodycam footage “appears” to show the girl wielding a knife as she “seems” to lunge at another girl.
CNN’s @wolfblitzer: “Growing questions” about police shooting in Columbus of a “16-year-old African-American” girl; video “APPEARS to show” Ma’Khia Bryant wielding a knife; “she SEEMS to lunge at another girl" pic.twitter.com/gG3cGDTHdm

Even leftist activists are admitting Bryant had a knife, noting that teen knife fights have been happening for eons.
“Seems to show” lol ?

"Appears". Indeed.

Appears to show? I mean, I guess she could have been holding a cucumber or something.
— Burt Macklin (@rmurph525) April 21, 2021
Ma’Khia Bryant was in the act and barely millisecond away from actually stabbing the other girl. There are no *growing questions* except those by media and others determined to gin up a race war.

Wolf, let us help you out – you can believe your eyes. The wild, flailing motions in the direction of the girl in pink? Those *are* LUNGES. And that thing in her hand-the long thin metal thingy w/handles on one end and a really pointy, sharp tip on the other? THAT *IS* A KNIFE.
— InkyD (@inkyd62) April 21, 2021
My question to @wolfblitzer: What was that thing #MikayahBryant was wielding that "appeared to be a knife?"
Hint: Rhymes with schnife

Wolf, either you're blind or you're an idiot. And you're not blind.

It’s killing him to report the truth. There’s video for gods sake

Growing questions? They need their clickbait…
— Scott Coleman (@bandphan) April 21, 2021
Zucker: We really need this to be something. If not, nobody will watch us.
Team: What to do…
Zucker: Let's say questions are growing.
Team: Are they?
Zucker: No. But we need ratings.
Wolf: On it boss!— Chris (@CML_Texas) April 21, 2021
“Questions like… why did the cop immediately resort to deadly force, rather than throwing a BOOMERANG at the knife. We now go live to Columbus…”
— W. G. Beckers (@dr_beckers) April 21, 2021
Thank God for body cams, or this woulda been cop murders teen girl with hands up
— Walter Sobchak (@buddhaumd) April 21, 2021
This network really hates cops, don’t they?
— Legal Scholar (@legalskolar) April 21, 2021
They just need to come out and just say they hate cops.

If we can't be certain of that which is clearly visible in the video, how can we rely on it to criticize police conduct? #MakiahBryant

This is example 349208658287634 of why no-one trusts @CNN. They are simply propagandizing for viewership.
It is sickening.

Same on local station CBS TV station in NYC. Word for word.
— Monica DeJour (@xmendax10) April 21, 2021
If they just admit the bodycam footage shows Bryant was lunging at another girl with a knife, that would suggest that the cop was justified in shooting. But there have to be questions, right?
