Republicans pounce on New Mexico governor's settlement with former staffer who accused her of unwanted sexual behavior

As The Hill reports, the real story here is that the governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, has reached a settlement of at least $62,500 with a former campaign staffer following accusations that she poured water on his crotch and grabbed it through his clothes in front of other staffers during a campaign meeting in 2018.

The Albuquerque Journal reported that Lujan Grisham’s campaign made five monthly payments of $12,500 from November through March listed as legal expenses.

To the Sante Fe New Mexican, however, the real story is the Republican Governors Association pouncing on Lujan Grisham.

This does seem like a big news story — the settlement, that is.
