It was a holiday weekend, so you might have missed the news that Comfortably Smug’s second annual #HackMadness bracket is down to the final two. In a very close vote, the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin eked out a narrow victory over last year’s winner, CNN’s Brian Stelter. Rubin dominated the “Liberal Activists” category, while Stelter brought it home for the “Fake News” category.
That takes us down to two, with CNN’s Chris Cuomo of the “Establishment” category earning a convincing win over Vox’s Aaron Rupar, holding it down for the “Way-Too-Online” quadrant.

We couldn’t choose between Rubin and Stelter, but we think Rubin has the edge over Cuomo — at least Cuomo hasn’t pretended to be a conservative.
Damn, that's a tough loss. Maybe next year, Potato Boy!

It was close but I had to go with Rubin this year. She definitely put in the effort

Someone bring me water and food. The line to vote is excessive.

Had to vote for Rubin, just because she seems more likely to get personally offended over winning.

If Jen Rubin doesn’t get to the championship what’s this all been about.

All time great game. No reason for either competitor to hold their head up high.

Stelter beat Rubin, Cuomo beats Rupar. Both by less than 5%

Dear Diary,
The defending champ guess down. Get out there and support Fredo in the final— Dr. Jim Acosta’s Diary (@AcostasNot) April 5, 2021
I fear the championship will be over before halftime! Poor @ChrisCuomo doesn’t have a chance against Rubin’s mastery of hackiness!

Rubin had this all the way. https://t.co/AyDYBkwIbv pic.twitter.com/SN8OGg6hTF
