Erick Erickson says ICE's fake university kind of makes him sympathetic to the 'abolish ICE' movement

As Twitchy reported, ICE, while working under the Obama administration, set up a fake university as part of a sting operation “designed to identify recruiters and entities engaged in immigration fraud.” The Detroit Free Press reported that the university “was not staffed with instructors/educators, it had no curriculum, no actual classes.”

It sounds sneaky, it is sneaky, and The Resurgent’s Erick Erickson says it almost makes him sympathetic to people like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her desire to abolish ICE entirely.

It does sound a little outrageous, but then again, it was a sting operation, and the students seemed to know what they were paying for.

That is some critical context we haven’t seen reported.

Yes, it was a sting operation, but the fact that it targeted immigrants with student visas seems to make people more sympathetic. What do you think? Cruel or clever?

And no, we certainly can’t get on board with AOC’s call to abolish ICE. Just no.
