Journalist argues that President Clinton was impeached based on 'second-hand info'

It all started on Saturday morning when Sen. Lindsey Graham tweeted this in defense of President Trump:

In America you can’t even get a parking ticket based on hearsay testimony.

But you can impeach a president?

I certainly hope not.

One thing we know about the whistleblower is that he or she was not on the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and even seems to have gotten some details of the phone call wrong in his or her complaint.

Blue-check journalist Garrett M. Graff seemed to think there was some sort of parallel there with the Clinton impeachment:

Also glossing over Kenneth Starr’s 1998 report, establishing that President Clinton perjured himself during a civil deposition, conspired to obstruct justice, violated criminal prohibitions against witness tampering, and perjured himself before a grand jury. But Linda Tripp.

Perhaps he's not old enough to remember the actual impeachment of Clinton. The sworn deposition in which he LIED to the court.

They had Bill Clinton dead bang on perjury at a civil deposition, lying to a grand jury and obstruction of justice. Clinton later pleaded guilty to perjury and surrendered his license to practice law. In contrast, no laws were broken during Trump's call with the Ukraine leader.
