As Twitchy reported, even though the idea of the “OK” hand symbol being a signal of white supremacy began life as a 4chan prank, apparently enough white supremacists have adopted it that the Anti-Defamation League added it, along with the McDonald’s “moon man” and the bowl cut to its Hate Symbols Database.
We’re old enough to remember when, just after the 2016 election, outlets including LA Weekly, the Washington Post, and Esquire all ran pieces on white nationalist Richard Spencer’s haircut — a basic undercut that suddenly became known as the “Hippler” or the “fashy.” Esquire was even triggered when Eric Trump was spotted emulating Spencer’s white supremacist haircut:

But now the bowl cut is the thing to watch out for, apparently because it was worn by church shooter Dylann Roof, and Rolling Stone is on it:
Remember the bowl cut, elementary school's most embarrassing look? It's now become a symbol of white supremacy https://t.co/Xxx5fWA4g4 pic.twitter.com/ino2R89SEm
— Rolling Stone (@RollingStone) September 26, 2019
Nope! We Asians owned that cut ages ago! Still do. Just have a look at Kpop. They can keep sporting them bowl cuts, though! It's an awesome look! ????

I had to endure this haircut for yrs as a child, and to think that if I or anyone rocked this now we're labeled as a White Supremacist?
Quit giving people ammunition to bully/ stereotype each other with. Everything's a symbol of white supremacy until it isn't! ? #smdh

— Dan (@ec147c) September 26, 2019
When you write this nonsense do you ever stop to think how nuts you sound? A haircut?
White supremacists don't need secret signs and symbols, they're pretty vocal about their beliefs. It's hard for them to consider themselves superior and stay quiet about it.
