We thought CNN had won the day with its series of chyrons on President Trump’s tweets calling out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her squad. Check this out:

So obviously CNN didn’t hold back on calling President Trump’s tweets racist, but it took the Washington Post to take things to the next level: Not only are Trump’s tweets racist, but he tweets them from the White House, which was built by slaves.
Trump’s racist tweets were written in the White House, which slaves helped build https://t.co/QgeStf3WYL
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) July 15, 2019
Did they have this piece just sitting around and were waiting for an excuse to run it? Because we’re not seeing the correlation. When President Clinton was banging an intern, he was doing it in the White House, which was built by slaves, which makes it even worse.
Here come the takes nobody was asking for.

This may be the most ridiculous post by wapo, ever. And that includes Ruth Marcus’ work. ?
— thomas wesolowski (@tweso1) July 16, 2019
And this tweet was written at WaPo, where journalism died…

Your paper was named after a slave owner.
— Shane (@therealShane44) July 16, 2019
Boom.
The founder of the Washington Post lived on a plantation that once held 128 slaves.
— OnTheBench (@Huerts31) July 16, 2019
So was the development of the land your building is sitting on.

Y'all reaching now

Slaves helped build or were forced to build lots of structures throughout history. We don't need people to remind black people that we were slaves or oppressed every day. It would be better for everyone if we moved on and did not consider ourselves perpetual victims.
— Dacoby (@dacoby6996) July 16, 2019
Hahahahahahaah ? Literally laughed out loud. What clownery.

I can't believe Obama lived in the same building that the slaves built
— Nate Clem (@NateClem_IN) July 16, 2019
Barry Soweto lived there too. Whodathunkit.
— Brad S (@BradS62313082) July 16, 2019
And Democrats OWNED those slaves
— Rob (@Rob_RABID_Welsh) July 16, 2019
This country was built on racism. Everyone knows that. The question is how do we move on from it hopefully. So not into opening old wounds.

Actually it was comprehensively reconstructed from 1949 to 1952 during the Truman Administration.

— Proud Constitutionalist (@airborne13b27) July 16, 2019
They weren’t racist. This is gaslighting.
— Jim Swarthout (@1Lost_Wizard) July 16, 2019
Too bad it wasn’t about race, it was about non patriotic politicians who verbally slam our wonderful country.
— ⭐️⭐️⭐️?#Q?⭐️⭐️⭐️ (@trumps_all) July 16, 2019
Get out applies to any race, thus not racist. Unlike Omar openly hating Jews, supporting antifa, and openly blaming Christians for 911
— Patrick (@darkstarxxxx1) July 16, 2019
Clown world.
