There’s been another shakeup in the White House Wednesday, as President Trump announced that he was firing Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin.

Word is that Trump intends to name his personal physician, Rear Adm. Ronny L. Jackson, to replace Shulkin as Department Secretary.
I am pleased to announce that I intend to nominate highly respected Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, MD, as the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs….

Pres nominating his WH physician to be V.A. Secretary. It was Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, MD, who reported Jan 16 on the results of Pres Trump's physical examination. pic.twitter.com/IxxzA3AnLg

Yes, this is the same physician who gave Trump a clean bill of health and said he was very sharp. Count MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough among those again taking cheap shots at Jackson.
Is this the same White House doctor that said Trump weighed 199 lbs, ran a 4.3 40, and was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound?

This isn’t new; back when Trump had his physical in January, Scarborough mocked Jackson as a “political hack,” despite the fact he was appointed by Barack Obama.

Note some of the other journalists who just can’t let go that the doctor gave Trump good marks on his physical in January.
Trump says “highly respected” White House doc Ronny Jackson to be next VA secretary. Among the things that earned him this respect: saying Trump “might live to be 200” if he exercised and dropped a few pounds. https://t.co/UG1c435qNO

"Jackson was so effusive in extolling the totally amazing, surpassingly marvelous, superbly stupendous and extremely awesome health of the president that the doctor sounded almost Trumpian," @Milbank https://t.co/bSwuWXfRav https://t.co/yNtKkWdQsC

Dr. Jackson is a good and honorable person, fine doctor and career military but you do get the sense that this has as much to do with his boffo press conference on the president’s physical as anything else. https://t.co/uEbm7dPz1d

Another Cabinet Secretary is fired on twitter as @POTUS names White House physician Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson who said Trump had “incredible genes” to replace David Shulkin at VA (Jackson was also Obama’s White House doc) https://t.co/b9wf9zcCcb

Navy Rear Adm. Ronny L. Jackson has been the lead White House doctor since 2013. “There’s no indication whatsoever that [Pres. Trump] has any cognitive issues,” Jackson said in January. https://t.co/MbgSJn2k7W

Dr. Ronny Jackson nominated to be VA Secretary was same doctor who appeared in White House Press Briefing Room in 2018 and deemed President healthy and mentally "very sharp" pic.twitter.com/Ug9xtCkvRV

Flashback — Dr Ronny Jackson on Trump: "I told the President that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years he might live to be 200 years old.”

Here’s Yahar Ali with some actually useful information:
Admiral Ronny Jackson has served as the White House Physician under Presidents Obama and Trump…and now he's been nominated to serve as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Admiral Jackson is beloved by Obama White House veterans. pic.twitter.com/NI9KrAUZ5P

The VA is arguably the federal government’s most chronically mismanaged bureaucracy. Trump has tapped to helm it a uniformed physician who, though well credentialed in medicine, has no apparent management experience.
