'Beyond parody': Sean Spicer manages to misspeak while apologizing for misspeaking

It was a tough day at work for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who managed to inspire multiple demands for his immediate firing with his fumbled comparison of Bashar al-Assad to Hitler, with Hitler coming out looking a little better for not having used chemical weapons on his own people … oops.

Spicer’s slip-up — or outright denial of the Holocaust, depending on whom you ask — was the lead story on all three network news broadcasts, but as Twitchy reported, Spicer could be found on CNN right around the same time apologizing for his comment.

For many, the apology wasn’t good enough, and thanks to yet another slip-up, Spicer proved to others that he really wasn’t good enough to be the lead spokesperson for the Trump administration.
