It was a tough day at work for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who managed to inspire multiple demands for his immediate firing with his fumbled comparison of Bashar al-Assad to Hitler, with Hitler coming out looking a little better for not having used chemical weapons on his own people … oops.
Spicer’s slip-up — or outright denial of the Holocaust, depending on whom you ask — was the lead story on all three network news broadcasts, but as Twitchy reported, Spicer could be found on CNN right around the same time apologizing for his comment.
For many, the apology wasn’t good enough, and thanks to yet another slip-up, Spicer proved to others that he really wasn’t good enough to be the lead spokesperson for the Trump administration.

Spicer literally just said Trump is trying "to destabilize the region" during his #holocaustcenter apology pic.twitter.com/tWrn1rEODQ

Watch yesterday's briefing, this is his second time saying "destabilize" https://t.co/lCgX9KNm0j

The man needs a vacation. Badly.

It's his carelessness, quick replies, lack of prep that bother me most. He breaks every rule of "stay on message."

So Spicer misspeaks, steps in front of the camera to apologize for misspeaking, mispeaks again. And he's the spokesman! https://t.co/J3m0hy6cS1

Wait you forgot one misspeak. There was a mispeak, a mispeak clarifying the misspeak and then this final misspeak. A hat trick! https://t.co/QMXO4RF0E7

What might a former press secretary say about Spicer?
I don't think a gaffe, immediately corrected, warrants leading all the nets when we have admin making news on Syrian & NK.

But the low hanging fruit of reflexive outrage over an obvious mistake must be picked! https://t.co/84A3SBdHbb

It is one more in a loooooong history of "gaffes"… The main thing is he is ***incredibly**** bad at his JOB. This seems obvious to me.

Apology irrelevant. This proves danger of having someone so prone to inflammatory remarks in such a visible, sensitive position. #Dangerous.

Whatever happened to "Let he without sin cast the first stone" it seems society loves playing gotcha these days hanging on every word
