As Twitchy reported, President Obama on Tuesday announced that he was commuting the sentence of former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, who in 2010 leaked a huge cache of American military and diplomatic activities to WikiLeaks. Manning, originally sentenced to prison until 2045, now is set for release this May.
That’s big news, but it’s not the idea of President Obama springing a traitor from prison on his way out the door that is giving some the vapors Tuesday night; it’s not even Sen. Marco Rubio’s condemnation of the commutation. No, it’s … it’s … it’s almost too terrible to say.
