Graphic video of the fatal officer-involved shooting of Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Okla., in September quickly went viral, inspiring protests and a federal investigation to determine whether Crutcher’s civil rights were violated.
On Tuesday, autopsy results in the case were released and showed that Crutcher, who was unarmed, had PCP in his system at the time of his death.

A vial of PCP had been found in Crutcher’s car, and an attorney for Betty Shelby, who fired the fatal gunshot, said his client believed from her drug recognition training that Crutcher might be under the influence of PCP.
The release of the autopsy report certainly doesn’t conclude the investigation, but it did rile plenty of observers who considered the findings irrelevant.
