It’s amazing how quickly word spreads on social media in the case of a police shooting incident. Take for example the case of Usaama Rahim, whose brother posted on social media that he was on the phone with his brother when he was shot in the back three times while on his way to work.

Muslim community leaders later invited by the police to view the surveillance video confirmed that Rahim was not shot in the back.

Tonight a tweeter going the by handle @FierceFeminist is tweeting what she is saying is the shooting of a Louisville business owner by police for no reason other than a) racism and b) fear.

This is the initial narrative: white police officer draws gun rather than non-lethal weapon and fires when threatened with a seemingly harmless metal rod. Will this alleged incident blow up on social media? How will local media outlets report on it? How soon until protests are planned in Louisville?
