As Investor’s Business Daily reported, President Obama’s trip to the West Coast and back for a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” cost around $2 million in flight costs alone, but it all turned out to be worth it to hear the president read “mean tweets” about himself.
Today, though, taxpayers aren’t finding it so funny to learn that the first lady took a separate flight on the same day to the same location for her own taping of “Ellen,” which airs … honestly, we don’t care when it airs.
Maybe the two traveled separately for security reasons? No, according to the White House, their schedules just were “not in sync.”
