David Limbaugh blasts 'petulant' President Obama over 'destructive' Netanyahu visit

President Obama granted Reuters an exclusive interview Monday that covered topics ranging from Russia to China to the Keystone XL pipeline. The primary topic, though, was Israel and Speaker John Boehner’s invitation for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress, which will happen Tuesday.

The complete text of the interview can be found on the Reuters website, but one of the most infuriating bits is Obama’s refusal to deny National Security Advisor Susan Rice’s assessment that Netanyahu’s acceptance of Boehner’s invitation was “destructive to the fabric of the relationship” between the United States and Israel. “I don’t think it’s permanently destructive,” Obama conceded. “I think that it is a distraction from what should be our focus.”

That was enough to set off columnist and best-selling author David Limbaugh.

Obama announced that he wouldn’t be attending the speech because meeting with a foreign leader facing an upcoming election could look like an endorsement and therefore be a violation of protocol — which doesn’t explain why he can’t catch the address on C-SPAN once SportsCenter wraps for the morning.
