It was Wednesday night at a private group dinner when former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani questioned whether President Obama really loves America. By late afternoon Saturday, at least two hashtags related to the alleged controversy were still parked on Twitter’s list of trending topics in the United States.
Though reporting on Giuliani’s comment hasn’t slowed much, most of it is has already become both tedious and ridiculous, with allegedly serious journalists reverting to jabs about the president’s birth certificate. If the mainstream media ever becomes as tired of the Giuliani story as the rest of us, Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist, has plenty of suggestions desperately in need of in-depth investigation and reporting.
