Gov. Rick Perry drops sly hint about 2016 plans with slam against Obama, border security

Rick Perry delivered his last speech as governor of Texas Friday afternoon as he addressed the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting. Perry had a lot to say about his state’s economy, playing up job creation in particular under his leadership (nearly one-third of all jobs created).

It was border security, though, that gave Perry an opening to slam President Obama for not doing his job, or rather, delegating all of it to the states.

That’s a pretty sly way to imply you’ll be running the country next.

Having turned his attention to Washington, Perry kept the hits coming.
