The Republican-led House has long been in favor of building the Keystone XL pipeline, and Friday, Congress voted 252-161 to direct the federal government to move forward with the project.

Thirty-one Democrats voted in favor of the pipeline, but most who follow politics are most interested to see just how hard Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, who faces a Dec. 6 runoff election, fights for the bill when it moves to the Senate on Tuesday.
Landrieu told the New York Times by phone that “she was confident that she would have the 60 votes needed for a bill to pass the Senate” and insisted that she “would not give up until the Keystone pipeline is built.”
@MonicaCrowley do you think it'll pass the Senate to save @MaryLandrieu
