As anyone who has gotten lost looking for the famous Gaza-West Bank bridge can tell you, Vox isn’t to be trusted when it comes to maps or geography. Vox can’t be stopped, though, and today has published a map of where Ebola is likely to go next. We suppose this supersedes Vox’s early September map, shown below, which predicted only an 18 percent chance of Ebola ever reaching American shores.
Ebola has up to an 18% chance of coming to America. Here's why you don't need to panic. http://t.co/I7QsRoYHzT pic.twitter.com/73zanOwsjv

Now, however, it’s a given with Vox that Ebola will not only reach the U.S. but also spread around a good portion of the globe.

There goes that plan.
@CuffyMeh @voxdotcom you can't fight those little white dash lines.

A REALLY big sign: "Your plane must be THIS BIG to enter the US." MT @CuffyMeh If only there were some way to stop those little airplanes.

.@CuffyMeh Fun Fact: In addition to being an "Executive Editor" at Vox, Matt Yglesias also holds Derek Zoolander Chair for Explaining Good.

@voxdotcom Your map is misleading. The first US patient flew to Belgium, then to USA. There are no direct flights frm West Africa to the US

Vox’s map is misleading? Please, Voxsplain.
@voxdotcom what about the confirmed case we have in Spain?
— G.G.Torà (@GGonzalezTora) October 18, 2014
@voxdotcom @_anapastor_ why Spain is not red coloured?

There is a confirmed case in Spain and is not in this map.— Esther M, en casa (@EstherMMG) October 18, 2014
So, are those India and China marked in blue?
@voxdotcom If it gets to India and China, we're talking Terry Gilliam's "Twelve Monkees".
