Are you ready for some sticker shock? American Commitment president Phil Kerpen took a look at some of the numbers around Obamacare’s state health insurance exchanges, and if these numbers are to be believed, states spent as much as $44,000 in federal grant money to sign up a single person.
On a cost basis, all the state exchanges are a pretty miserable failure. pic.twitter.com/l8KmqiaL5o

The HealthCare.gov site turned out to be a relative bargain, coming in at just $764. But Hawaii?
Hawaii has still spent more than FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND bucks of your federal taxes PER PERSON signed up for Obamacare: pic.twitter.com/l8KmqiaL5o

That’s right. In its first month, Cover Oregon managed to sign up zero people through its $300,000 website. The state did accept paper applications, however. And don’t forget, these numbers track individual people who selected a plan, not people who have purchased insurance.
@DANEgerus For this purpose I'm taking the HHS report of "pre-effectuated enrollment" at face value.

I looked up "pre-effectuated enrollment" in the dictionary & thesaurus, I cdn't find it. @kerpen @DANEgerus
